March 2022 – Executive Director Cheryl Walker
As Executive Director of Hudson Grande Senior living, I like to think of my team as an extended family; we start as co-workers and become friends.
My team comes together to get the job done; whatever is needed we rise to the occasion. For Valentine’s Day, we hosted three separate meals, one for the gentlemen, one for the ladies, and another for couples. It took the entire team to get this accomplished and they turned out wonderfully. We’re planning to host a waffle and fruit bar, with all the bells and whistles. It’s timed to serve our night shift as they wrap up their day and our day shift as they begin theirs.
On a weekly basis, we choose a department to celebrate, sometimes with special food events like visiting shaved ice or ice cream trucks. I especially like the personal touch of sending a handwritten note through the mail. We are a team of people who truly enjoy our jobs and each other. We spend more time with one other than with our own families, so these work relationships are valued.
